Health Education Programs

Education is an important component of the entire medical delivery process. The Community of Health & Hope will provide health education through a variety of methods and in a variety of settings, including but not limited to, our H.O.P.E. units, school-based education, churches, community and civic centers, libraries, other nonprofits, and online references.

A large component of our education program is our school-based education. This program will be provided by health care and other professionals (police and fire personnel) in conjunction with our mascot Scrubs.

Scrubs, a Samoyed puppy, will visit schools, day care centers, and other non-profits across the country to educate America’s youth about many topics. Topics that include, but are not limited to, age appropriate presentations, demonstrations and speeches about:

  • Personal hygiene
  • Healthy food choices
  • Safety awareness and education
  • What is 911 and when to call
  • Exercise and physical education
  • General health and wellness

In addition to general health and school based education, the Community of Health & Hope will have a speaker’s bureau including area experts that will partner with various entities to provide onsite presentations, panels, demonstrations, and lectures to the community at large on a variety of topics.
