Medical Services for Children

The Community of Health & Hope provides medical care to children aged 0 – 17 years who are uninsured or lack the financial resources necessary to obtain adequate, timely medical care.

As parents we know you want the best for your child, we also know that financial constraints or lack of insurance can make it difficult to get that real time care you desire for your child. Our primary goal at the Community of Health & Hope is to help you access and obtain real time medical care in the right place and the right time.

Oftentimes, parents have difficulty accessing care when they need to due to work schedules, transportation or other issues. So many times the only option that remains when faced with such issues is to take our child to an emergency room; only to find an overcrowded waiting are coupled with that long wait time. It’s not a pleasant situation for you or your child.

Why wait? While we cannot eliminate the need for an emergency room visit, we can help you access care a little easier. If you live in one of our designated service areas we are working hard to bring our medical services to you via our H.O.P.E. mobile medical units and to do so during times that we hope will make it easier for you to access care.

We also know that the need of every child is different. Should your child need specialized medical care not otherwise available on our H.O.P.E. unit, we will help you locate a provider who can help.

Our goal – eliminating access to care as an issue for you in obtaining real time medical care for your child. To combat this issue, we will partner with schools, day cares, community centers and other non-profits located in both your community and our designated service areas to bring much needed medical care directly to you and your child. It is very important to note that care will be delivered based on a defined rotation schedule and we cannot guarantee when we will be in your area outside of that rotation schedule; however, having a schedule will help you coordinate your child’s medical care whether it is an initial visit, follow-up care, or review of test results.

In addition to providing medical care, we want you to be well informed and educated about the health and healthy lifestyles of children. For this reason, we and our lovable friend Scrubs offer school-based education programs on a variety of topics designed just for kids. Scrubs, our lovable puppy and friend will accompany our educators when they visit your child’s school, day care, or other location. Everyone loves Scrubs!

The Community of Health & Hope also offers school-required immunizations. All immunization services are provided in the comfort and convenience of our mobile medical units called H.O.P.E. units.
